Since the distance quite far,
If you get the best ratio gram of coffee bean to espresso you extract.
Sure you need non-pressurized basket.
EC155 can make good coffee for you too.
Biggest differences are the basket volume of these 2 machines.
EC155 clearly smaller.
Gaggia quite close to commercial machine basket size.
Steam power ...
Most difficult ways are heat up to a ready to brew temperature of such machines.
All are practices...
