Kelvin, I was at SOGO the day you bought the Gaggia color, I was with my daughter playing the Classic, were you the guy we met when you bought the color?

The Color and the Classic are 2 totally different machines. The Color is using a Valve whereas the Classic is using solenoid. With the valve system, you normally do not get enough brewing pressure, also you cannot remove the protafiler right away after brewing.

As your machine is not yet delivered, I suggest you to contact the sales person or go to SOGO tomorrow to cancel the Color and pay $1,000 more for the baby (which is essentially the same machine as the Classic but with plastic casing).

The color is just the same as other Delonghi EC155 with a 58mm portafilter.

One more remark here, if you consider to adjust the brew pressure on your gaggia, the new baby using a plastic OPV which is not adjustable while the classic using one Which is able to adjust.

I have no idea PIDed Gaggia Classic is a good one...
small boiler... anyway we make one by one slowly... at home.
